Lamborghini Aventador LP 700-4 Detail

Since 1963, Automobili Lamborghini S.p.A in Sant’ Agata Bolognese has been building awe inspiring supercars. The latest supercar from Lamborghini replaced the ever popular Murcielago. Unveiled in Geneva in February of 2011, The new flagship model was a futuristic looking 700 horsepower monster of a bull. The Aventador LP700-4 is a marvel of carbon fiber technology. It’s V-12 engine catapults it from a stand still to 62 mph in a mere 2.9 seconds. The Aventador’s name stayed true to Lamborghini’s tradition of naming cars after famous Spanish fighting bulls. Named “Aventador”, after the bull that fought with extreme courage in Zaragoza, Spain in 1993. Aventador was given the famous “Trofeo de la Pena La Madronera” after it’s brave display in the ring.

Supercars such as the Aventador are extremely unique and special in so many ways, that it’s no wonder everyone can appreciate their futuristic looks. At a price of  $500,000 USD plus, for a 2013 Aventador, It’s hardly a vehicle left to just anyone for detailing. And when a local client aquired his brand new Aventador, he quickly brought his new LP700-4 to SweetCars for detailing. Painted in a matte black finish named “Nero Nemesis”, the vehicle was brought in to have the interior detailed, engine prepped and exterior matte finish protected. The vehicle was also “dealer prepped” here at SweetCars, where the Aventador’s factory labels and protective wrappings were first removed. Matte paint requires a different approach from those of conventional paints. Correction is not an option, which is one drawback to this type of finish because it shines the surface. So for the paint, I used “Opaque” from Swissvax to protect the matte black finish. The wash detergent, detail spray and surface prep were also from Swissvax and were specially engineered for matte finishes. My approach to the Aventador was like all of our details, which is to take an artisan approach to get the best results possible. The detail process took 2 days to complete and when it was finally finished, it was more menacing looking than ever.
