Michael Barney​

General Manager

Leading the team at SweetCars is Michael Barney. Before his role as General Manager, Michael held various other positions here at SweetCars including Detail Specialist, Sales Consultant, Sales Manager and Operations Manager. Michael is a Fort Wayne native, graduated from Homestead High School in 2010, and attended Indiana University Fort Wayne where he earned a degree in business management.

Michael is a lifelong car fanatic with a particular passion for BMW Isettas. Outside of the office, you will find he and his wife, Natalie, enjoying automotive-related events and spending time on the area lakes with their dogs, Kasey and Hollie.

 

Nate Corwin​

Service & Detailing Manager

Leading the SweetCars service and detail departments is Nate Corwin. Nate’s passion for cars stems from many of his family members sharing the love of cars and passing it along to him. He was even able to buy his first car at the young age of 14. Working on his first car introduced Nate to the world of car repair, and the rest is history! Nate brings years of experience working on high-line and high-performance vehicles, including managing a private collection of over 150 cars and running his own performance shop specializing in GM sports cars.

 

Guy Septer​

Assistant Detail Manager / Master Detailer

Guy is from Ossian, Indiana, and is a graduate of Norwell High School. He’s a huge fan of BMW and an active member in the local tuner community. Guy enjoys spending time working on his personal tuner projects when he’s not out at events putting his drifting skills to the test. As a SONAX USA–certified detailer and Ceramic Pro–certified installer, Guy is meticulous in his detailing abilities. In addition to his love for cars, Guy is an avid guitar player and enjoys writing his own music.

 

Ben Boxberger​

Facilities Manager

Ben has served at SweetCars for more than a decade. He prefers to operate with the headlights on, maintaining SweetCars facilities overnight. When he’s not at the shop, Ben enjoys spending time with his parents, playing golf, watching sports, and fine dining. Having spent years perfecting his ping pong skills, he feels confident he can beat most any challenger. He’s also a proud former Bishop Luers Knight. After graduating high school in 1992, Ben went on to earn his bachelor’s degree from Indiana University, where he was a member of the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity.

 

Blake Birkmeier

Service Technician

Blake graduated from Bishop Luers High School, and has also attended the Anthis Career Center. Growing up he worked on bikes but fell in love with cars when his grandpa took him to a burnout and hasn’t missed one since. During his junior year of high school, he really got into cars, and that’s when he started attending Anthis for automotive. Blake’s started buying project cars, which has been his escape from the world, and loves every second working on them.

 

Sheri Calhoun​

Concierge

When it comes to superb customer service, look no further than Sheri, our concierge. She brings over 30 years of customer service experience. Sheri’s love and interest in cars started at a very young age, hanging out with her father at his body shop where he built dune buggies. Growing up, she helped her father work on the cars and gained an appreciation and desire to extend that to both her children. Sheri enjoys making people smile and has a dedication to the people she serves.

 

Dan Carey

Service and Detail Advisor

Dan has always been a car enthusiast. So much so that after 30+ years in the construction industry and a short retirement he jumped at the chance to join the SweetCars team when an opportunity opened up. He says, “To me, cars are like little time capsules. The old cars and old technology take you back to a much simpler era and the new cars with advanced technology seem to propel you into the future. I enjoy them all!”

When not working Dan enjoys spending time with his wife and family including four grandkids.

 

Alex Faherty

Alex was born and raised in Fort Wayne and is a graduate of Concordia Lutheran High School. Alex’s passion in cars started at a very young age when he and his father played racing games with each other, and it only grew stronger as he aged. Today, Alex is a huge fan of anything exotic and attends just about every car show he can make it to. Alex loves to spend time with family, enjoy the outdoors, and get together with friends.

 

Larry Franck​

Larry had a very successful career working for one of the top manufacturing companies in the world for more than 35 years. Larry understands the importance of building long-term relationships, along with providing unparalleled customer service to each and every client.

As with everyone else here at SweetCars, he is a lifelong car guy, having painted his first car at age 14 in his hometown of St. Henry, Ohio. Over the years, he has restored and owned many classics, including his pride and joy, his black 1967 Corvette air-conditioned coupe. Larry’s other interests include woodworking, fishing, and bowling, and he enjoys spending time with his family.

Marcus Harrell is a Fort Wayne native. He attended Indiana Tech where he earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice administration. However, he’d always had a passion for cars, which is why he chose to pursue a career with SweetCars. In his free time, Marcus enjoys doing CrossFit, golfing, and attending car shows.

Brian was born and raised in Fort Wayne and graduated from Carroll High School. He used to work in sales at Mercedes-Benz, which led to becoming a fan of luxury and exotic cars. When Brian’s not working, he enjoy spending time outdoors, hiking, fishing, watching movies, and playing the guitar.

 

Caleb Hutchison

Originally from Post Falls, Idaho, Caleb Hutchison’s love for exotic cars is what first attracted him to SweetCars. As a porter, Caleb is responsible for transporting and washing cars, handling pickups and deliveries, and more. When he’s not at SweetCars, Caleb loves bodybuilding and playing video games.

Adam Loomis

From the minute Adam first held the keys to his first car at 16, he fell in love with all things cars and trucks. He’d obsess over how to maximize a vehicles performance. Adam brings two decades of experience in the automotive industry to SweetCars, from working as a lot porter in high school, to running his own detailing business in college. At SweetCars, Adam helps customers determine what services are best for them and then communicates that information to the service technicians and detailers.

When not at work, Adam loves to compete in heavyweight bodybuilding competitions. He has three children, whom he loves: Kai, Xavier, and Jordan.

 

Cameron Oldfield

Born and raised in Fort Wayne, Cameron frequently visited SweetCars since his youth, and it has served as a place of inspiration for him. In his free time, Cameron mainly does something car-related. Whether it be visiting other dealerships, car shows, or researching the car market online. Even while on vacation, Cameron always makes it a priority to check out dealerships and car shows to see the rarest and most exotic cars. As well as cars, Cameron also has a passion for motorcycles and timepieces. His all-time dream car is specifically a Lamborghini Murcielago SV painted Rosso Targa.
