McLaren MP4-12C Wheel/Brake Caliper 22ple Detail

Not since the McLaren F1 has McLaren built a production car designed and built solely by the Formula One powerhouse. The McLaren MP4-12C was first introduced to the world in 2009 and later hit the streets worldwide in 2011. This Formula 1 inspired supercar was built at McLaren’s impressive facility in Surrey, England with an extraordinary attention to detail. A special client of ours recently took delivery of one of these fabulous machines and had it brought to the SweetCars detail studio for an application of 22ple VM1 on the wheels and calipers. After spending some fun miles on the road, the MP4-12C was in need of protection that would help make the wheels and calipers easy to clean and maintain. The vehicle also had some areas that required correction and polishing. The McLaren underwent a process which included: wheel removal, claying, polishing, 22ple prep and 22ple installation. The wheels and calipers were prepped with 22ple VM1 which is resistant to temperatures of up to 700 degrees and will give up to 12 months of protection. Mike is an avid car enthusiast and serves as a technical car care consultant for various car clubs, including Ferrari, Porsche, and Lamborghini and others. He is trained and certified by the Porsche Club of America as Concours Judge. He also enjoys playing the guitar, recording music, and is a die-hard soccer fan.
